PAFMS Scholarship Application Form

The IAAM Districts provide scholarships annually to the PAFM School. The administration and award of the annual scholarships will be through the Districts' PAFMS Scholarship Committees. Scholarships are fully funded for the two-year program. For 2008, recipients will have tuition, room, and board (including applicable taxes) paid by the scholarship. Recipients or their employers must pay for travel, some meals and other incidental expenses.

Scholarship Eligibility
1. Those applicants that aren't awarded a scholarship MAY pay their own way
2. Scholarship applications come to IAAM HQ and then they are sent to district for approval
3. Each applicant must submit an application fee, and the fee is refundable if you are not awarded a scholarship

To be eligible, an applicant must need financial assistance.

An applicant must be employed in the public assembly facility industry or directly related business such as concessions, ticketing, crowd management and other facility service related companies. Preference, however, will be given to applicants employed in public assembly facilities.

Applicant and/or his/her facility must commit to both annual sessions of the School to include payment of the balance of costs (i.e.: transportation) not covered by the scholarship award. If the Scholarship recipient leaves the industry or district, the Scholarship will be terminated.

Scholarship Award Criteria

The Board of Regents suggests the following criteria in the award process but the IAAM Districts may impose additional criteria:

1. Progression of professional development as demonstrated by work history/resume

2. Current job responsibilities

3. Career objectives of the applicant

4. Membership in IAAM

5. Submission of one-page typed essay on "Why I Should Be Awarded this Scholarship."

Judging of each criterion to be based on one to five points (i.e.: maximum score 25 points) with scholarship awards given to highest total score.
