Veteran event and facility manager Glenn Menard has been
named president and gener al
manager of the Texas Motorplex, home of the O'Reilly Auto Parts
Super Start Battery Fall Nationals in the fall as well as
multiple other events throughout the year. Menard has been the
track's interim general manager since August. “Glenn was a
valuable addition to the team during our largest event of the
season and can be an even bigger asset leading the team
permanently,” said Billy Meyer, Texas Motorplex owner.
“He is someone that I have known for a long time and it means a
lot to me that he comes to the job with extensive knowledge of
racing along with an equal amount of passion for the sport.”
With a broad background in event and facility management for
events ranging from top-tier, live entertainment to
professional, collegiate and amateur sporting events, Menard has
directed operations for more than 100 concerts, Super Bowl XXXVI
and NFL regular season games, three NCAA Final Fours, BCS
Championship, NBA basketball, Olympic tennis in Atlanta and
World Cup soccer in Dallas. 
Kristy Roszkowski has been
promoted to sales manager for DeVos
Place Conventio n
Center, an SMG-managed facility in Grand
Rapids, Michigan. Roszkowski will be
responsible for selling to associations,
organizations and other groups
representing social, military,
educational, religious and fraternal
markets. She was previously sales
assistant and event coordinator at DeVos
Place and has been with the company for
more than two years.

Rik Edgar has been named
executive director of the Racine (WI)
Civic Centre, VenuWorks
President/CEO Steve Peters, CFE,
announced. Edgar was previously with the
Iowa Events Center in Des Moines, where
he was an operations supervisor at the
Wells Fargo Arena, Veterans Auditorium
and Hy-Vee Hall. “Racine is a great
community and I look forward to the
opportunities these buildings offer,”
said Edgar. “We will be working to
aggressively market the two halls and
its meeting spaces locally and will
continue to work on bringing regional
and national acts including comedians
and children’s shows.” 
Andrea Faush was named
director of real estate at the
Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Complex.
Faush’s
primary focus will be leasing office
space in the BJCC Medical Forum, a
10-story office and meetings tower
adjacent to the Sheraton Birmingham
Hotel. Faush will also assist in the
management of BJCC-owned property and
the acquisition of property as necessary
and appropriate for the expansion of the
complex. Faush previously worked with
downtown real estate company Corporate
Realty.
