Choose AVSS for Premier Training in Safety & Security

The Academy for Venue Safety & Security (AVSS) offers professionals in the public assembly venue industry five days of intensive training in security planning and life safety management. AVSS students complete the core curriculum (Year 1 and Year 2) in four tracks: risk management, emergency planning, security operations, and training. Students also can go on to complete various Advanced Courses.

For an all-inclusive cost of $2,480, which covers all lodging, meals and instructional materials, AVSS Year 1 and Year 2 participants:

    • Receive in-depth training to prepare, prevent, respond to and
      recover from many types of emergencies at public assembly
      facilities
    • Learn the latest and most relevant safety and security training
      available to venue managers
    • Refine their venue emergency plans and communication
      strategies
    • Engage in classroom and tabletop exercises, and take away
      practical strategies and solutions
    • Interact with top faculty who are industry leaders and recognized
      experts in safety and security

To graduate from AVSS with recognition as an emergency preparedness professional, a student must successfully complete Year 1 and Year 2, and five to seven Advanced Courses; develop an emergency preparedness plan; and successfully pass the final exam.
